At Asphalt Flowers we're into radical brands making beautiful kidswear that's comfy, cool, ethically produced and made to last. We stock Lion of Leisure, 4funkyflavours, The Fableists, Up-Shirts by Reet Aus, Moksha Baby and Popupshop.

Along with our boutique collection of baby vintage, every brand we stock shares an ethos, a spirit that makes them unique. We chose them for two simple reasons. 1. They're beautifully designed, uber-cool, well-made clothes that feel as good as they look - and our kids LOVE them. 2. Every piece is made with respect for the environment and the people that manufacture them using sustainable fabrics. Here they are:

Lion of Leisure hail from Antwerp and are makers of gorgeously soft tees, printed by hand with whimsically witty illustrations, in non-toxic, biodegradable water inks and packed in fabric bags with love.

On a mission to dress the hippest kids on the block, The Fableists are instantly recognisable for their mainly unisex, utilitarian pieces. Cool cuts and crisp organic denim and jersey create non-seasonal pieces that work and play hard, and are made to last.

A riot of colour with gorgeous retro prints and sharp attention to detailing, Netherlands based 4funkyflavours tick all the sustainability boxes while making clothes so desirable we had to stage an intervention to retrieve it all from our kids’ hot, grippy little fingers.

Pure cotton, classic with a twist, hand-smocked, London based Question Everything celebrates founder Angie Adams’ dual Manilla/London heritage. Each piece is produced by a small family business in Manilla, with the smocking hand-stitched by the ladies of the Batangas village community and a percentage of all sales going to a local charity for street children.

UpShirts. Possibly the most environmentally friendly clothing on earth, Upshirts are tees made using the pieces of fabric routinely discarded during production - the so called 'waste' that would get thrown in the trash. Instead, cleverly engineered by ethical fashion pioneer and passionate Estonian upcycler, Reet Aus, they make uber-cool and groovy little t-shirts.

And our latest arrival, Popupshop. Hailing from Wonderful Copenhagen, Popupshop cuts simple shapes from uber-comfy organic cotton and bamboo jersey. Using a unique, environmentally-friendly colour process without use of polluting heavy metal dyes, Popupshop then prints each piece in fab painterly and hazy photographic prints of everything from cityscapes to tigers. We heart.
